Federation of Iraq Trade Unions is a trade union organization established in May 2003 with the aim of defending workers’ rights and improving working conditions. It is considered one of the leading trade union organizations in the country, comprising 12 national unions. The federation was founded at a conference held in Baghdad with the participation of 400 trade union activists. In 2006, it merged with three other trade union federations to form the General Federation of Iraqi Workers. In 2023, its name was changed to the Iraqi Federation of Trade Unions. This federation is one of the founding members of the Arab Trade Union Confederation.
