The protesters stated that the occupation forces continue to prevent the entry of supplies, equipment and machinery necessary for operating service institutions, especially municipalities that provide basic services to more than two million people. The blockade negatively affects the municipalities’ ability to provide services and ensure their provision to citizens in light of the scarcity of funding and lack of financial support.
The Mayor of Gaza said that the municipalities sector is the most affected by the blockade and the occupation forces’ attacks, as it has been struggling over the past years and trying to withstand great challenges, the most important of which is the deterioration of vehicles, the exacerbation of the electricity crisis and the scarcity of fuel.
