The General Federation of Transport, part of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), had already called for a general strike in the land, sea, and air transport sectors on 25 and 26 January 2023, to support the employees’ demands.
The agents are calling for the payment of the security services control allowance, the elaboration of a special regime dedicated to land transport controllers and the implementation of the agreements signed between the Ministry of Transport, the presidency of the government and the trade union.
The federation has also denounced its exclusion by the ministry in charge of the discussions that should lead to the implementation of the above-mentioned agreements.
