The General Secretary of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU) said that the labour market is in a “very critical situation” due to the rising unemployment rate, noting that at the same time, no political will is emerging to revive the national industry, which suffers from insecurity and lack of raw materials.
The trade union leader recalled that this state of affairs applies to both the public and private sectors, which suffer, moreover, from unfair competition and arbitrary imports.
