More than a thousand delegates representing all ITUC-affiliated trade unions as well as representatives of the Arab Trade Union Confederation (ATUC) took part in this event.
The agenda of the Congress included several key items, including the question of amending the organisation’s constitution and the drafting of a resolution containing new proposals to regularise the labour market. Several activity and financial reports of the ITUC and its affiliated organisations, covering the period 2019-2022, will also be presented during the meeting.
A new Executive Board was also elected on Sunday 20 November. Italian Luca Visentini was elected as the new head of the ITUC, succeeding Sharan Burrow.
