In a radio statement, former MP Mohamed Korbaï said that the Serbian authorities have detained 60 Tunisian migrants who arrived from Istanbul airport despite being in a regular situation. Some of these migrants were assaulted by the Serbian police for refusing to sign the expulsion decision, he added.
As part of its new policy to fight irregular immigration via the Balkan route, Serbia recently decided to reintroduce visas for Tunisian nationals.
