The report showed that the number of Palestinians working in these areas reached 182,000 in the second quarter of this year, while 29,000 Palestinians were working in the settlements during the same period. It also noted that approximately 36,100 Palestinian workers in these areas do not hold work permits.
The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics report stated that the construction sector employs 51% of Palestinian workers in the occupied territories and settlements, followed by the trade, restaurants and hotels sector with 15%, services with 12%, and finally mining, quarrying, and manufacturing with 11.8%.
