Protesters seized two tankers on Monday 4 July, demanding payment of their salaries, which have been blocked for three months.
The workers’ trade union representative said in a statement to TAP that this escalation seeks to put pressure on the regional and central authorities. The official added that during a meeting held with the governor of the region, it has been agreed to find a definitive solution in order to break definitively with the “policy of indifference” used by the government in the management of the file of the environment, planting and gardening companies.
