The strike denounces the measures taken by the public prosecutor of Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, against the governor of the BDL, Riad Salameh. The protestors claim that these measures are political par excellence.
The BDL employees’ syndicate stressed that this strike is only a step and that a meeting will be held soon to study the developments of the situation and to organise new protests if the lawsuits in question are maintained. In this context, the General Assembly instructed the council to follow the judicial process with the concerned authorities.
