Spain: A death toll of irregular migrants after a bloody storming attempt by migrants to Melilla

Spain announced that more than 2,000 migrants from sub-Saharan Africa tried to storm Melilla, north of Morocco, which is under the administration of Madrid, and is a transit point for African migrants towards Europe.

Melilla authorities also announced that at least 130 migrants managed to enter the city and 76 of the intruders were injured as a result of falling from the top of the fence.

In this context, the Moroccan Association for Human Rights criticized the Nador branch on Sunday, June 26, without opening an investigation into the tragedy and determining their identities and without a medical autopsy. They demanded that the facts of the tragedy be disclosed.
