Jordan: 16 employees put at risk of death by their company

While the inspectors came to check whether all employees of the company were registered with the Social Security Fund, the administration asked 16 unregistered people to hide in the elevator where they suffocated before they were rescued by civil protection teams.

The spokesperson of the Social Security Fund expressed his deep regret at these practices which endanger the lives of employees and violate the laws in force, while the Tamkeen Centre for Legal Aid and Human Rights, which reported the news, denounced the incident and recalled that social security and protection in the workplace are fundamental rights of workers.
