Morocco: Moroccan workers resume their jobs in Ceuta and others protest losing their jobs

On the other hand, dozens of Moroccans working in Ceuta on Tuesday, May 31st, launched a protest in Fnideq, on the outskirts of the crossing, against the measures imposed on them to enter Ceuta. Some protesters stated that the closure of the crossing over the two years caused them to lose their jobs in Ceuta, as their operators replaced them with other workers during this period.

The Spanish side has tightened entry requirements for Moroccan workers, as they require the possession of a European passport, a European visa, or a valid residency.
