On May 16, the Bank agreed to pay the workers’ salaries in dollar based on the exchange platform price, excluding the social financial assistance funds in which a decision was not issued by the Banque du Liban, after it had previously refused to pay in dollar on the basis of the exchange platform price pursuant to Resolution 161.
It is worth noting that Circular 161 issued by the Banque du Liban requires dealing in dollar against the lira in banks without a limit on the platform price.
