The study, which was based on a sample of 5,444 families from different governorates, revealed that the unemployment rate rose from 11.4% between 2018 and 2019 to 29.6% in December 2021. The census also revealed that the unemployment rate for women is higher than that of men and that almost one third of the working population was unemployed at the beginning of 2022.
