After the protest, the Trade Union of Aviation Maintenance Technicians held an emergency meeting to contain the situation. At the end of the meeting, the union issued a statement explaining that the demands made by the agents are of extreme importance and that they could, if not met, impact the future of the company.
The union stressed that it has used all legally permissible methods to voice its concerns, which are considered legitimate rights under the provisions of the collective agreement and guaranteed by all laws. The policy of systematic and irresponsible exclusion, however, prevents any positive outcome, according to the trade union.
