In this regard, the union stated that the association had repudiated three agreements signed under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor in 2013, 2018 and 2020. The association took a decision to suspend 33 employees with indefinite contracts, who are legally proven since they have been working for 4 years. The decision to dismiss them will enter into force at the beginning of next month, and the union indicated that the ambulance services witness a significant shortage of staff.
The syndicate also denounced the cutting of one-third of the salaries of ambulance staff, and the cutting of national and religious holidays, rejecting the association’s administration’s excuse that it was going through a financial crisis while at the same time making new appointments with high salaries.
The Ambulance Syndicate called on the authorities to assume their responsibilities regarding the mistreatment of ambulance workers, threatening to resort to a comprehensive strike.
