IOM’s office in Yemen added on Twitter: “However, more than 27,000 migrants arrived on the shores of Yemen in 2021, compared to 35,000 migrants who arrived in the country the previous year.”
According to the organization, two-thirds of Ethiopian migrants traveling to Yemen via Djibouti are unaware of the conflict in Yemen, adding that nearly 130,000 migrants in Yemen need humanitarian assistance.
