On Thursday, December 9, sanitation workers, especially workers without contracts, in the municipality of Kasserine launched an open strike, due to the indifference to their demands that include having a uniform, tools of occupational safety, professional promotions and allowing temporary employees who have been working in the municipality for 8 years to have permanent contracts.
The workers stressed that they will resume work if the authorities do not respond to their demands.
The administration of the municipality decided to negotiate the workers’ demands with the trade union.
