Tunisia: The administration of Géant Tunis City oppresses syndicalist rights of its workers

The administration of Géant Tunis City decided to have Mohamed Amine Kouki, an employee of the security service, in the disciplinary board although he presented proof of his innocence.

 

The trade union part said that the measure is arbitrary and comes before concluding the elective congress of the centre trade union, affiliated with the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT). According to the union, the employee, who was planning to run in the elections and was unfairly targeted by the administration. The decision impacted the trade union affairs.

 

The trade union called on the administration to cancel its decision in order to preserve the working conditions and to avoid social tensions.
