A textile clothing factory announced resuming its activities after its partial closure. Therefore, 370 employees, the majority of whom are women, will return to work. The factory’s owner, an Italian investor, decided to partially cease operations due to the financial problems witnessed by the parent company in Italy since 2020.
In a statement to TAP, a trade union official in Menzel Temime explained that the definitive closure of the company must be done in full respect of the workers’ rights, notably the payment of salaries and allowances.
