The spokesman of the Coordination of Construction Workers has called for applying the regulatory decrees related to the contracts of construction workers under 45 years old. In a statement to TAP, the spokesman said that no measures have been taken for the first group of workers, scheduled for December 2021.
The spokesman said that the workers plan to protest again if their demands will not be met due to the current political crisis in the country.
It is worth noting that the government signed an agreement on 20 October 2020 to recruit 31,000 construction workers under the age of 45 into the civil service. The agreement also stipulates that the workers concerned who wish to resign can benefit from financial compensation.
