The National Syndicate of Educational Supervisors and Assistants threatened to start a strike due to the Ministry of Education’s failure to announce the legal measures to take in the files of workers whose ranks will cease to exist.
In a statement issued on September 4th, the syndicate stressed the need to reconsider the basic law in the sector. The syndicate, also, demanded working on the file of workers who are still working in lower ranks that were supposed to end in 2017 according to Law 12/240.
In its statement, the syndicate demanded the need to improve the purchasing power of workers, labour medicine, and update the grant of southern governorates.
