The online newspaper Russia Today reported that the League of Secondary School Teachers in Lebanon started a sit-in in the Ministry’s headquarters on 8 September.
The protesters called for a salary increase in order to cope with the collapse of the national currency. It is worth noting that secondary school teachers earn the equivalent of $100 per month.
