Al-Fikr[1] news website posted that workers of the Beach Monitoring Cell, “Waka”, asked for their return to their previous jobs in the Ministry of Environment. The ministry refused extending their contracts in the project they have been working on for more than two years.
In a written complaint, workers described their dismissal as arbitrary and unjustified, demanding their right to be integrated into the public service after years of working in the Ministry of Environment.
Waka workers announced that they would organize protests in front of the ministry if their demands will be ignored.
