The regional labour union office in Tunisia denounced the weak value of the leaving grant, that has been approved by the regional labour inspection for 240 workers in SITEM.
The Labour Inspectorate decided to offer a 2,000 dinars grant for the dismissed workers. The trade union denounced it as unfair to workers who spent between 12 and 28 years working in the company.
It is worth noting that the company demanded technical unemployment for two months since March 2021. The company, however, dismissed all its employers and permanently closed down.
