A new bill on unemployment insurance has been presented to the government and the parliament.
The bill is part of a long-term plan to decrease unemployment in Lebanon. The bill has been prepared by the Ministry of Labour with the National Social Security Fund and under the supervision of experts from the International Labour Organization (ILO).
It proposes providing monthly salaries to the unemployed for a limited period of time until they find a job.
