A massive fire broke out on August 10 at the Valeo factory in Ben Arous. All the equipment has been destroyed without causing any human losses, as it was a holiday.
Extinguishing operations continued for several hours, and the causes of the fire are still unknown.
The general secretary of the main trade union of factory workers stated that the Valeo factory, which employs 1,500 workers, was completely burnt down and that these workers are now unemployed.
