Palestine: Dozens of factories destroyed leaving thousands of workers without jobs

A trade union source in Gaza stated that 20 factories were destroyed, 5,000 workers lost their jobs, and 20,000 workers were directly or indirectly affected by the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The same source pointed out that COVID-19 had already affected 160,000 workers in the Gaza Strip, and that the number of unemployed had reached about a quarter of a million.

The recent Israeli aggression on Gaza exacerbated a humanitarian catastrophe and left massive destruction in infrastructure, factories, workshops, homes, and governmental and private institutions.
