The General Administration of Private Education in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education expelled an American teacher in a private school after writing on her personal social media account the phrase “I stand with Israel.”
An official source in the ministry explained to press sources that the decision to suspend the teacher was made in accordance with the law that prohibits teachers from discussing political affairs.
The teacher’s opinion of the occupation aroused the discontent of the Ministry of Education, the school administration, and the pupils’ parents. The Department of Private Education opened an investigation into the matter and confirmed that it will accordingly deal with the American teacher who supports apartheid.
