Hundreds of professors, particularly the ones within the 315 contract, protested in the university of Mosul against not receiving their salaries. Also, the Ministry of Higher Education issued a decision to terminate the contracts of another category of contractual professors at the University of Mosul.
The protestors demanded regulation of their status and permanent staffing as well as taking into consideration the years of seniority. The head of the University stated that the university’s budget is critical. He asked protestors to submit their demands in order to send them to the Ministry of Higher Education.
