Air transport has stopped at all Libyan airports due to the strike launched by the workers and agents of the Ground Services Company on April 4th. Workers protested against not receiving their salaries for several months.
This strike was decided by trade unions of the Libyan Company for Ground Services as a reaction to the failure of the successive Libyan governments for several years to pay its workers as promised, especially after the agreement between the Minister of Transportation in the Government of National Unity and the Board of Directors of the company at the meeting held on March 21st, 2021.
The protestors stated that they did not receive their salaries for 27/30 months and warned they will continue the strike until their demands are met.
