Tunisia: Employers of the Presidency of the Government

The agents and employers of the Presidency of the Government carried out a strike on March 3 and 4 to support their demands listed in the sessions signed between the trade union and the administration in the ministry since 2018.

Protestors included members of the Public Authority for Expenditure Control, the Authority for Public Service, and the Presidency of the Government.

A trade union source explained that the strike took place to defend the right to unionize and negotiate.

Another source mentioned that the protestors are demanding a restructuring of the Presidency of the Government, a revision of the supervisory bodies, and issuing a new law for the agents and employers of the Presidency of the Government who are not subject to other basic laws.
