Roughly 149 immigrants were rescued by the crew of the SOS Mediterranee NGO ship Ocean Viking on Thursday off the coast of Libya.

The organization, based in Marseille, France, said that the survivors, who were in two boats, were suffering from poor health conditions because of cold and fatigue.
