The Democratic Confederation of Labour condemns the harsh conditions of workers in the textile sector in Tangiers, describing their underground workplaces as graves.
In this regard, the Confederation recalled the tragedy in which 28 workers died in rainwater in the underground workplace, condemning, hence, all regional and national authorities for overlooking the working conditions of these victims who were working out of extreme poverty and need for work.
The Confederation recalled other work accidents in the agricultural sector and otherwise leading to the death of its workers because of the absence of occupational health and safety measures.
The Moroccan Central Trade Union invites its syndicates in different regions to fight against all forms of abuse and violation of the law for the safety of workers and the protection of their lives.
