Morocco: 190 Coalition Demands Government Ratification of 190 Convention

A delegation of the 190 Coalition for a World of Work Free of Violence and Harassment filed a request for Morocco to ratify Convention 190. The request was filed at the Office of the President of the Government and was received by the Secretary General of the Government and the Director of the Office of the Minister of Labor.

This convention deals with the fight against violence and harassment in the world of work and offers a great opportunity for trade unions to continue to fight effectively against gender-based violence.

The creation of the 190 Coalition is the culmination of a whole work process led by the global trade union movement with the help and support of NGOs and global feminist organizations to put in place an international legislative measure to eradicate violence and harassment in the world of work. This movement also aims to effectively engage unions, employers and governments in negotiations around this issue.
