The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel al-Rikabi, inaugurated the first congress of the Iraqi Center for Resources and Labor Migration. Adel al-Rikabi announced that his ministry will provide the necessary assistance and guidance to Arab and foreign workers.
During his speech, the minister said that this center was established on the basis of the cooperation charter between his ministry and the International Center for Migration Policy Development. He added that the mission of the new center will be to inform and sensitize foreign workers on Iraqi laws. In parallel to this mission, the Center will also orient Iraqis who wish to immigrate. However, the minister said that the authorities are not favorable to the departure of skills and young people.
Adel al-Rikabi added that the Ministry will continue to work with governments, organizations and unions to ensure the success of the new center.
