Libya: Fuel truck drivers continue strike

Fuel truck drivers in Libya continue their strike for the third day in a row to protest against the harassment they face on all roads in the country.

In this context, the El Brega oil company called on the safety authorities to intervene and provide a safe working environment for drivers so that they can resume their activities. In a press release, the company recalled that the strike of drivers affects the daily life of the citizen who will no longer be able to access his fuel needs.

Security instability in Libya has allowed several armed groups to set up checkpoints on the roads where they stop fuel truck drivers to let them leave only after the payment of “arbitrary taxes”.
