Coronavirus: 75% of global small businesses forced to make redundancies

A panel of experts participating in a panel discussion hosted by the World Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit said the Covid-19 forced 75% of the world’s small and medium-sized enterprises to make redundancies in the ranks of their employees. 70% of companies experienced a decline in their revenues due to the crisis while 40% of companies are facing financing problems.

Participants in the session recalled the importance of new digital technologies in the management of medium and small enterprises and called on regional governments to work together to provide technical support to these enterprises to follow the digital revolution and overcome their crisis.
