Yemen: humanitarian organisations threatened with closure before the end of the year

Humanitarian sources working in Sana'a have revealed that humanitarian organizations in Yemen are threatened with closure before the end of the year due to lack of funding while the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has still not announced its new programs.

The same sources indicated that the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has established new criteria for project funding and has subjected the organisations to a thorough assessment which will affect the majority of operational organisations, especially emerging organizations.

According to sources working at Sanaa, current projects have been limited to addressing the impacts of Covid-19 and food and protection issues.
