Under the title “Rights are to be taken”, health workers at the regional hospital in Aatar, the capital of Adrar, organized a demonstration last Thursday, due to the hospital’s delay in paying overdued salaries to night attendance workers and incentive grants from January until now.
According to a statement by the workers’ spokesperson, the option to go on a strike was imposed on the workers, adding that the hospital administration did not leave them with any other option to recover their stolen rights.
The spokesperson added that: “This decision came after our attempts in various ways and by the various available means, and no other solution remained for us besides striking. We deposited a notice with the administration a week before today, on Thursday, August 13, and the administration did not show any interest”.
