Iran: ILO Calls for the Condemnation Policies that are Harmful to Workers’ Rights

Coinciding with the general strike of Iranian oil refineries and sugar mills workers in protest against the non-payment of their salaries and termination of contracts, Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi, called on yesterday, Tuesday, in a tweet the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the general labor unions and workers’ rights advocates to condemn Iran’s policies in terms of workers’ rights.

Rajavi wrote: “I call on the ILO, all trade unions and workers’ rights advocates to condemn the regime’s policies that violate workers’ rights and support the strikes and protests of the persecuted workers in Iran”.

A week ago, Iran has witnessed a number of workers’ strikes in the refineries of Abadan, Parsian, Qeshm, Lamard Petrochemical Complex and South Pars.
