The Syndicate of Nurses announced in a statement that it had followed several meetings with the concerned parties to reach a solution to the crisis in the health sector.
However, in light of the increasing cases of layoffs and arbitrary procedures and the failure to meet the rights of nurses, the Syndicate decided to announce Wednesday August 5 a day of strike for all workers in health institutions, taking into account the necessary cases and patients’ health.
Simultaneously, a protest would be held in front of the Syndicate’s headquarters at ten o’clock.
The union also called for strike coverage and follow-up, starting at ten in the morning at the union’s headquarters in Sin el Fil, Pierre Pierre and Gemayel in Beirut.
