According to the regional authorities in the Algerian province of Mostaganem, they have decided to close down the biometric service, after some suspected cases of COVID-19 infections were inside the facility.
According to the official page of the crisis cell at Mostaganem Province for prevention and follow-up to combat the Coronavirus, it has been decided to close down the Biometric Department of the Administrative Attaché in a neighborhood of 400 homes for a period of 15 days, starting from Thursday, July 16.
The decision was made after the registration of suspected COVID-19 cases among workers.
Algeria leads Maghreb countries in terms of the number of infected people with the new Coronavirus with more than 21.000 cases infected, compared to 16.500 in Morocco, 5.600 in Mauritania, 1.650 in Libya and 1.300 in Tunisia.
