Amnesty International called on the Gulf countries to ensure the necessary care for foreign workers in light of the continuing outbreak of the Coronavirus.
The organization has published on its Gulf States’ region account, on Twitter, a statement calling for the need to ensure that foreign workers can obtain the necessary health care and the salaries to secure their daily needs, even if they are forced to be in quarantine.
Amnesty International has previously called on the State of Qatar to take more care of foreign workers after recording cases of arbitrary layoffs and the spread of pictures of foreign workers for to beg on the streets.
It was reported that nearly 1500 Coronavirus infections and 3 deaths were recorded among migrant workers in the Gulf countries.
