The Ministry of Media granted limited leave to its employees from last Monday to next Sunday as part of government measures to prevent corona virus.
The ministry said in a press statement on Monday that “the decision was made in accordance with the Transitional Cabinet Resolution No. 91 of 2020 paragraph (8) regarding measures to reduce congestion in workplaces for coronavirus prevention measures”.
According to the decision, the directors of the public and auxiliary departments were excluded from continuing their duties.
The decision also excluded workers in executive offices, financial affairs, markets and cleaners.
The resolution called on general secretaries and general managers of councils, bodies and units affiliated with the Ministry to take appropriate decisions to reduce the number of employees in their units as well as stressing on the need to ensure that work continues as required.
