Lebanon: Al-Hariri Hospital Employees Demand the Series of Ranks and Salaries

The Committee of Employees, Contractors, and Procedures of the Rafik Hariri Governmental University Hospital called for a strike because the state has not provided them with the series of ranks and salaries.

 

Representatives of the hospital staff, addressed the government at a press conference, saying: “You register a victory at our expense, and you do not secure the necessary funds and salaries for the employees who sacrifice their lives and who make an effort no less important than the army's effort towards terrorism”.

 

“We need money and a series of ranks and salaries, and these are our most basic rights, knowing that we are aware of our mission and role, but we are committed to our right, which we have not seized for 3 years”.

 

In a statement they issued, the employees called for a strike except for workers in emergency departments. The main demand is the collection of the series of ranks and salaries that were not applied last year due to the support of other government institutions, “stressing that they continue to bear responsibility towards citizens, especially in the Corona virus department”.
