Morocco: “Fosbocraa” Phosphate Workers in Laayoune Denounce their Rights’ Violations

On March 3, dozens of phosphate workers gathered in Laayoune in front of the company’s headquarters, and raised slogans denouncing the administration’s violation of their rights and earnings, under the supervision of the General Union of Moroccan Workers.

Protesters denounced the policy of dialogue rejection on the part of the administration and its provocations and lack of involvement of the union in everything that matters to the workers, its continuation of obstructing the work of the local committee for years, disrupting projects as well as the absence of equal housing and disruption of the phosphate’s club.

They also called for enjoying social and health coverage, preserving social gains, and the return of dismissed workers to their work, condemning the administration’s targeting of the rights of retirees and widows.
