Morocco: Youssoufia Road Transport professionals Escalate their Protests

Road transport professionals who are affiliated with the Democratic Labor Confederation went into an open struggle with the local administration of the Sharif Phosphate Complex demanding them to pay the dues of road transport professionals under the authority of their Foundation.

According to a press release of the National Union of Road Transport Professionals, the sector professionals in Youssoufia-Rahmani decided to extend the strike for 72 hours accompanied by sit-in and demonstrations.

This congestion comes after the workers evaluated the outcomes of the general strike that they carried out on Monday and Tuesday, February 24 and 25.

They noted indifference of the officials of the local administration of the Sharif Phosphate Complex in Youssoufia to the professionals’ cases as well as their unjustified absence from the meeting with the local authorities.

They also pointed out in the same press release their withdrawal from the meeting that took place on Tuesday due to the absence of a representative from the sector’s management.
