On Thursday, workers and employees of the Livestock and Pasture Office carried out a strike on all production units, regional administrations and public administration, following the failure of negotiations between the administrative and union parties.
Al-Shaab newspaper reported that the representative of the prime minister was absent from the negotiations, forcing the union party to approve the strike.
The workers and employees of the Office demanded that the problem of the basic system file be resolved, the organizational structure revised, the engineering bonus for the office’s engineers as well as matters related to uniforms and promotions.
Workers also demanded a milk allowance and the settlement of outstanding professional positions for a number of workers.
