A cabinet decision noted that employees who have reached 30 years of service will be going into retirement
It is expected that such decision will have dangerous dimensions as it will be emptying the institutions of competencies and expertise, in addition to the fact that the salaries of these employees will be reduced for more than half after retirement, which will lead to great confusion to their daily lives, especially since the majority of these employees have monthly obligations.
Employees are currently demanding the necessity put the mentioned decision on hold, delaying its implementation and re-studying it again to mitigate the negative effects and damages on the employees and their families, appealing to the king to intervene, because the decision is unfair and unjust to them.
In the same context, the media spokesman for the Social Security Corporation, Musa al-Subaihi, confirmed that the number of employees who were referred to retirement under the recent cabinet decision reached 1880 employees who have served 30 years.
Al-Subaihi said that the expansion of the decision will have a very negative impact on the institution, noting that all studies have confirmed that the financial situation will be greatly affected if the early retirement continues in large numbers.
